Site Features and Navigation
Navigation
Left Side Menu - In the left column, you will find a menu showing the product categories on the site. Selecting a menu item will take you to a category page where you may choose from one of the products shown, or you may select a sub-category from the grey area above the featured products to further refine your search. This is called "drilling down" to the product or products of interest.
Top Menu - Along the top of the page are two menu bars. The first menu offers general information about the site along with direct access to your shopping cart:
- The home button returns you to the site's main (or home) page regardless of which page you currently are viewing. This button is convienent for "starting over".
- The site map button shows you a page with links to all important pages throughout the entire site. This button is very helpful for finding your way to a specific section of the site.
- The about us page gives you complete contact information about us.
- The shopping help button takes you to a helpful "how-to" page regarding the site.
- The customer service link takes you to a "links" page where you can select from a menu of customer service topics.
- The shopping cart button gives you instant access to your cart where you can make changes to your order before checkout.
The second menu links to site features:
- The my account link takes you directly to the account sign-in page where you can access your order history and other specific information.
- The track order page also links you to your account page where you can check the status of your order.
- The contact us link presents you with a form page where you an send us an e-mail about any issue or questions.
- The wish lists allow you to save products descriptions to a special list that you can access later for purchase or send to friends as gift suggestions.
Category Page Navigation - Selecting an item from the left column menu takes you to the category page where you will see the featured products in the selected category displayed. More products are available for viewing by selecting one of the sub-categories listed in the grey area above the products on the featured (first) category page.
Bread Crumbs - Yep, "bread crumbs". As you look at any site page, noticy the string of names that appear near the top of the page, each separated with a "/". For example, you might see "Home/Firearms/Saiga .223 - 16.3 Inch Barrel indicating you are viewing the product page for a Saiga rifle. If you click "Firearms", the site will return you to the firearms category page. If you skip over "Firearms" and click "Home", the site will by-pass the category page and take you directly back to the home, or first, page.
Browser Back Button - Don't forget the browser back button! When you want to go back to the last page you visited, simply click the left arrow - "back" on your browser's top bar.
Customer Service Navigation Links - At the bottom of most pages is a collection of links that keep important topics close at hand. No need to search for our shipping policies; just follow the link at the bottom of the page to get answers to your questions.
Search By Brands - In the left column, you will find a "Search by Brand" drop down box. Choosing any of the selections in the box will take you directly to all of the products offered by that manufacturer. Very handy when you know exactly who makes the product you need!
Search Box - Very powerful indeed! Simply type in the product's name partial name, manufacturer, model number, or stock number and you will either get the exact product you are looking for or a candidate list of likely products. Don't worry if you aren't quite sure how to spell the product's name, or you mis-type the entry; the search function has a "sound alike" feature that lets you find what you want just by getting close to the name!
Sort Box on Category Page - Once you reach the product category page by selecting an item from the left colum menu (see menu above), you may choose to view products in several ways simply by clicking the "Sort the following list by:" drop down button. You may choose to view products on the page sorted by name, price, or stock number (SKU).
Features
E-mail a Friend - On the product page, select "E-mail this page to a friend". Now your buddy can take advantage of the same savings!
Notify when back in stock - When a product is not in inventory, just enter your e-mail address on the product page and we will notify you when the item again is available for purchase.
Coupons - We issue discount coupons from time to time as a promotion. If you receive one from us, just enter the number at check-out the next time you visit to receive the discount.
Wish List- Keep a savable running list of all the goodies you want to purchase. Then, when you are ready to make a purchase, just select the items from your wish list.
Gift Certificates - Coming soon. Not sure what to purchase as a gift. No problem. Just purchase a gift certificate. We'll send it via e-mail to your family member, friend, or co-worker.
Rate a Product - Share your experiences about a product through our product rating feature. Each product page allows you to add your comments about the product you are viewing - just follow the link. Comments from other shoppers are also listed on the product page.
